Charles City (IA) - In February 2014 for the first time in its history, Mitas joined the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, USA. Several hundred exhibitors and the exciting Championship Tractor Pull are the best attractions at one of the largest fairs in North America.
“It is very important for us to be present at this show. The limited space and popularity of the show make this the hardest show to get into, which brings the perfect opportunity to present the Mitas brand,” said Jeff Miller, the marketing manager for Mitas Tires North America.
The National Farm Machinery Show is traditionally connected with the tractor-pulling championship. This event stars the nation’s best drivers and their power-hungry pulling trucks and tractors. Mitas organized an event for visitors of the show with Manon Kools, a sponsored tractor-pulling driver from the Mitas All or Nothing team. Kools was picked by the organizers of the tractor-pulling event to join the race as one of the most successful European drivers.
“It was a great honor for me to be part of such a big race. It was my first-time pull in the USA, and I enjoyed every minute – even though my engine did not work as I would have needed,” Kools said.
After the race, Kools gave autographs and signed tractor-pulling collector’s cards. Interest among visitors to meet and take photos with Kools was enormous. Her presence helped establish Mitas as a proud supporter of the tractor-pulling races.
